Dr. Shashika Chandraratne is a highly qualified dermatology registrar with an extensive background in both clinical practice and academic research. He completed his MBBS in 2008, followed by a Master’s degree in Statistics in 2013, and MD in Dermatology in 2021, all from Sri Lanka. With many years of experience in general practice and public healthcare, Dr. Chandraratne served as an acting dermatologist in peripheral hospitals in Sri Lanka before pursuing overseas training as a Dermatology registrar.
A dedicated researcher, Dr. Chandraratne has conducted numerous studies on psoriasis and leishmaniasis, and is currently involved in research focused on acne, pigmentary disorders, and phototherapy in dermatology. Committed to advancing his expertise, he is also working toward additional qualifications in skin cancer care. Dr. Chandraratne brings a wealth of knowledge and a strong research foundation to his role, enhancing patient care through evidence-based dermatological practices.
