Dr. Manoharan is one of Australia’s leading laser dermatologists. He specialises in the use of energy based devices for both medical and cosmetic dermatology. Based in Brisbane, Australia, he is the Medical Director of Dermatology Clinics Australia and training organisation DermEd.com.au.
He is the founder & director of three of Australia’s largest dermatology practices. He is also past Director of Training for the Australasian College of Dermatology (QLD) and consulting dermatologist for L’Oréal Paris. He has a special interest in combination treatments for laser rejuvenation, complicated scars (acne, traumatic, surgical and burns), pigmentation, and surgical & non-surgical skin cancer management.
Dr. Manoharan studied medicine at the University of Queensland, worked in the United Kingdom and Australia, gained extensive laser and surgical experience in Australia and the United States, and has sub-specialised in cosmetic and laser dermatology.
He is extensively involved in the training of dermatologists and registrars, general practitioners, pharmacists and the general public about skin health, dermatology and lasers. He is a senior clinical lecturer at the University of Queensland.
Dr. Manoharan has established himself as a national expert in medical and cosmetic dermatology and is a regular expert contributor for Vogue, Cosmopolitan and Marie Claire. He has appeared in programs such as Today Tonight and A Current Affair, as well as numerous radio stations including ABC and 4BC radio. He has appeared in all Australian major television channels and radio stations and performed regular skin checks for politicians in Canberra as part of public education campaigns.
